A brave fight, one day at a time

At just six years old, Kainan Flores is facing a battle that has changed his world forever.
On December 6th, he was diagnosed with B-cell leukemia—a moment that turned an ordinary childhood into a journey filled with hospitals, treatments, and uncertainty.
Instead of celebrating the holidays at home, Kainan spent Christmas in a hospital room. And soon after, his family made a difficult decision—leaving everything behind to move two hours away to Lubbock, so he could receive the specialized care he needs for the next two and a half years.
Now, he is entering the most intense phase of chemotherapy.
The days are not easy.

There are migraines.
There are side effects that drain his small body.
There are moments of exhaustion and pain that no child should have to understand.
But through it all… Kainan keeps fighting.
From hospital beds to treatment rooms, he shows a quiet strength that inspires everyone around him. His mother stands by his side every single day, watching him push through each challenge, sharing his journey so others can see his courage—and hold onto hope.
Because in the middle of this long road, it’s the small moments that mean everything.
A smile after a hard day.
A step forward in recovery.
A little bit of strength when it’s needed most.

Kainan’s story is not just about illness.
It’s about resilience.
It’s about a family holding on together.
It’s about a community coming together with love, prayers, and support.
And maybe that’s what keeps them going.
One day at a time.
One moment at a time.
One brave step forward at a time.
