From Survival to Belonging — Punchy Is Finally Home

Punchy, the little Japanese macaque who once clung to a plush “Mama Doll” just to feel safe, is finally living the life he always deserved.
Not surviving.

Belonging.
There was a time he sat alone on Monkey Mountain—small, unsure, always watching, always holding on to the only comfort he had.
But look at him now.
Curled up in warm cuddle piles.
Surrounded by gentle hands and soft grooming.
Resting without fear.
This isn’t just a change.
It’s a transformation.

With companions like Grandma Sotomaru, his bestie Momo, and the rest of the troop, Punchy is no longer the outsider. He’s protected. Included. Loved.
No more looking over his shoulder.
No more quiet loneliness.
Just a little monkey… finally getting to be a baby.
Rolling freely.
Relaxed.
Safe.
And maybe that’s the most beautiful part of his story.
Because after everything he’s been through—
He didn’t just make it.
He found a family that chose him back.
