A Soldier’s Only Wish

Seth is thousands of miles away, serving under unfamiliar skies in the Middle East.
Each night, he lies down in a quiet tent, far from everything he calls home.

Before he closes his eyes, he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a worn, folded photo.
It’s the same one he looks at every night—his wife, Emily, holding their newborn baby.

He smiles…
but behind that smile is an ache that never really fades.

He hasn’t held his child yet.
He wasn’t there for the first cry, the first laugh, the small moments that mean everything.
All those memories… are waiting for him somewhere far away.

And still, he holds on.

Because more than anything, he has one wish:
To make it home safely.
To hold his wife again.
To finally carry his baby in his arms.

Tonight, Seth isn’t asking for much.
Just a quiet prayer.
A small wish.
A moment of hope.

“Please… wish for my safety… so I can come home to them.”
