Her journey began in Niagara County, in the small town of Hartland. Life in those early years was simple and close-knit. She attended a modest two-room schoolhouse, where education felt personal and community-driven, shaping the foundation of who she would become. From there, Alice continued her studies, graduating from Gasport High School before pursuing further education at St. Joseph’s Business School. These early steps reflected a young woman eager to learn, grow, and build a meaningful future.
Her path eventually led her into the working world, where she became part of the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal. But even as she built her career, her heart always remained centered on something greater—family.
Alice devoted much of her life to raising five children, creating a home filled with care, patience, and togetherness. Over time, that family grew far beyond what she may have once imagined. Today, her legacy spans nearly 50 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each one a living extension of her life’s story.
