A brave two-year-old Siberian husky has captured hearts after surviving more than 24 hours trapped inside an icy drainage tunnel beside the Detroit River 🐾🥶.

The frightened dog was first noticed by two fishermen, who saw him trembling on a thin sheet of unstable ice near the Gordie Howe Bridge. Realizing the danger, they immediately alerted emergency services 🚨.

What followed was a tense four-hour rescue operation. Firefighters had to wear special neoprene suits to protect themselves from the dangerously cold water as they carefully navigated the icy tunnel to reach the dog ❄️🧯.

After hours of effort, rescuers were finally able to bring the exhausted husky to safety. The dog was suffering from hypothermia, but thankfully he survived the freezing ordeal ❤️‍🩹🐶.

Since the husky did not have a microchip, he is currently receiving veterinary care while authorities try to locate his owner. If no one comes forward, the resilient survivor will eventually be placed for adoption, giving him the chance to find a warm and loving home 🏡✨.
