A Forest That Disappeared

In parts of Indonesia, massive deforestation has destroyed large areas of rainforest, leaving countless wild animals without homes.

During one rescue mission, wildlife teams discovered a lonely orangutan sitting in the middle of a cleared forest, surrounded by fallen trees and smoke from land clearing.

The animal had lost its habitat and had nowhere left to go.
