Bonded Border Collies Atlas and Kora Search for a Forever Home Together

At the Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ), two Border Collies named Atlas and Kora are capturing hearts with their inseparable bond and perfectly balanced personalities. The pair, aged four and two, are currently looking for a forever home that will welcome them both as a team.

Atlas, the older of the two, is often described as the calm and thoughtful “big brother.” He enjoys quiet moments where he can observe the world around him, reflecting the intelligent and attentive nature that Border Collies are known for. Kora, on the other hand, brings a spark of energy and enthusiasm to the duo. At just two years old, she approaches life with excitement and curiosity, always ready for a new adventure.

Together, the pair complement each other beautifully. Atlas’s calm, steady demeanor balances Kora’s playful energy, creating a dynamic that shelter staff say works perfectly. Their strong connection means they rely on one another for comfort and companionship, making it important that they are adopted as a bonded pair.

While Atlas and Kora may not be overly interested in socializing with other dogs, they already have everything they need in each other. Their close friendship means they are happiest when they can explore, play, and relax side by side.

Because Border Collies are highly intelligent and active dogs, the shelter hopes to find an adopter who has the space, time, and energy to meet their needs. In return, Atlas and Kora promise double the loyalty, double the companionship, and a heartwarming friendship that has already stood the test of time.
